Ever since grace blessed me with the electric upright bass I've always wanted, I've discovered a new form of meditative sound catharsis which is to hook my upright bass up to an assorted array of sound manipulators and effects pedals and allow myself to improvise freely, letting my feelings and the sound take me wherever they might. That was the concept for this collection of mostly improvised pieces, and like many things I release it can be quite a roller coaster: moving from atmospheres of serenity and beauty to menace and suspense without warning. Using only my upright bass, improvised tribal & industrial percussion, and a glossolalia I speak only in meditative states, I wrestle with personal hardships that plague my heart, I grapple things I no longer allow to have power over me, and at times reach levels of resolve, healing and catharsis. Given all that heaviness, I think it still makes for a fun listen, its full of auditory surprises so give it a spin. Shout out to my bestie and bandmate S Lucio for being a part of the introduction piece to this album <3
